As part of the measures to stop the rapid spread of Coronavirus in Italy, Lombardy and 14 provinces in Italy have been designated as new “red zones”.

The unprecedented decree applies to approximately Lombardy (Milan included) and the provinces of Modena, Parma, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Rimini, Pesaro, Urbino, Alessandria, Asti, Novara, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Vercelli, Padua, Treviso and Venice.

People are not allowed to leave and/or enter the new red zones except for exceptional circumstances until at least 3 April.

In accordance with the Prime Ministerial Decree of the 8th March 2020 all museums and places of culture are to remain closed throughout Italy from 8th March until 3rd April.
